Thank you so much! <3 In regards to how I make the colors so bright ... I like mixing very little water into my paints so the pigment is super concentrated. However, even though it looks opaque, the white paper still shines through. Maybe that's why? Or maybe it's because I'm using cheap paints. XD Over the summer I scored at an art store and got a different brand for a $1 a tube. I noticed that while it didn't so too well with washes, I was able to really concentrate the color. The light blue in the boys' capes is one of the new colors and I loved how rich it came out. Also, I do work in layers. The trick there is to keep adding more pigment just as it's mostly dry. Gotta be careful the paint you're adding doesn't have too much water or else it will erase some of the pigment on the paper already. Who said there isn't erasing in traditional art? XD
